Every full and part-time student who enrolls at Grenfell Campus of Memorial University of Newfoundland is a member of the Grenfell Campus Student Union (GCSU) and of the Canadian Federation of Students (CFS Local 36). As members of the Federation we are able to campaign effectively for student rights together with over a half million other students from across the country with a powerful and united voice.

It is the duty of the elected members of the Grenfell Campus Student Union Council to address any and all concerns of students. The Student Union has an open-door policy and is always looking for new ways to improve the lives of its members. Collectively, the eleven members of the Student Union Council are responsible for representing students and their concerns to university administration, to government, and to other external organizations. Furthermore, they are responsible for managing the day-to-day activities and services of the Union, like Grenfell students’ health plan and the GCSU Backlot. We are here to represent and work for you and your interests; please do not hesitate to approach any one of us with any issues or concerns you may have! We strive to build a united and egalitarian student community that is welcoming of social and cultural diversity and environmental sustainability.
