Hi folks!

I am Jemy, a 2nd year Environmental Studies student, and it is my pleasure to serve you as your Vice-President Academic for the year 2024–2025! I am here to assist you in all your academic matters during your time at Grenfell Campus, be it providing advice regarding an academic appeal or directly communicating an idea or issue you have to the GCSU Council.

It is important for me that everyone at Grenfell Campus has their student rights respected, in addition to being ensured a fun and fulfilling academic experience. I am responsible maintaining relations between GCSU and the Memorial University faculty, preparing academic policy recommendations, and spreading awareness of arising academic issues and developments on at Grenfell Campus.

I also oversee the six GCSU caucuses, namely the Indigenous, Queer, Black, Women, Students with Disabilities, and International Students' caucuses. While caucuses are a great way for students in minority groups to strengthen their voice and find community, they also enjoy organizing and attending fun as well as informative events on campus. Caucus leaders and members can always approach me regarding the function and promotion of their caucus, and I will provide you with my full attention and support.

As your Vice-President Academic, I am always available and interested in addressing your concerns, considering your suggestions, and making new friends.
